Complete your organisation’s application step by step online and submit it with the required supporting documents. Follow-up questions and official decisions from your organisation come back the same way — directly in Bürgerportal.
The online applications available to you depend on the services your organisation offers.
Submit documents online. Check they have arrived.
Upload existing files or scan paper documents using the app’s scanning feature. Under “Gesendet” (Sent), you can see whether the transfer was successful.
Important: a successful transfer does not mean that your request has already been processed or approved.
Your digital mailbox. Find your mail again.
Read messages from your organisation directly in your mailbox. “Posteingang” (Inbox) and “Gesendet” (Sent) help you keep track.
If your organisation needs a reply, this is shown in the portal. The relevant reply forms help you respond quickly and provide all the necessary information.
Find your appointment. Without a long search.
Your appointments are listed in the portal with the date, time and location.
You can confirm appointments directly in the portal and add them to your calendar.
No need to start from scratch with every question.
Send your question directly to the relevant department. Your message and the replies remain together as a conversation you can follow.
While the conversation in your Bürgerportal account is open, you can add more information. This means you do not have to explain the context again with every message.
What you need to know for everyday use.
How large can my files be?
You can upload files up to 25 MB. You will see which file formats are accepted for each process when you upload them.
Can I continue an application later?
Drafts are saved locally on your device. To continue, use the same browser on the same device. A draft on your computer is not automatically available on your smartphone.
Will I see the same features everywhere?
No. Your organisation decides which sections and processes it offers. Some provide additional information, such as details of payments or benefit periods.
